The Denver Broncos have made a big splash in free agency today. Denver has signed former New England Patriots wide receiver, Wes Welker. The two sides have agreed to terms on a two-year, 12 million dollar contract. Welker was not getting the contract he was wanting from New England which led him to signing with the Denver Broncos. It has been reported by that the Patriots offered Wes Welker a two-year, 10 million dollar contract.
The Broncos have added another receiver to go along with Eric Decker and Demaryius Thomas. This makes Denver even more dangerous than they were last season. Wes Welker will replace Brandon Stokley in the middle of the field. Should be interesting when the Patriots face the Broncos this season.
