The Vikings have announced that Christian Ponder will be inactive for tonight’s Wildcard match up against the Green Bay Packers. Ponder injured his elbow last week after hitting it on a Packers helmet. During pregame warm ups, Ponder was not able to throw the ball more than 15 yards. Joe Webb will take the field as the Minnesota Vikings starting Quarterback. Webb is an athletic player that has great open-field running. Joe Webb ran for a 65 yard touchdown against the Detroit Lions and a 47 yard touchdown against the 49ers in past seasons. His running ability should have an impact on the Packers defense who have struggled with tackling all season. This will be interesting to see how Joe Webb plays in the Vikings most important game of the season.
