Cardinals Decide to Fire Ken Whisenhunt

Ken Whisenhunt

According to ESPN”s Adam Schefter, The Arizona Cardinals have decided to fire coach Ken Whisenhunt and general manager Ron Graves after another disappointing season. The Cardinals started off the season 4-0, but they finished the season 5-11. Whisenhunt became coach in 2007, and he has a mediocre 25-51 in six seasons as Cardinals head coach. His greatest accomplishment during that time was coaching the 9-7 NFC Champion Cardinals in the 2008 NFL Season.

As for on Graves, he was never able to find a replacement for Kurt Warner after Warner departed the team after the 2009 season. He traded CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and a second-round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011 for Kevin Kolb. Kolb has struggled since coming to the Cardinals and hasn’t helped them win games.

The Cardinals are obviously heading in a different direction. They going to need to find a new coach, general manager, and maybe even a quarterback.
