According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Cleveland Browns are expected to clean house on Monday, firing both coach Pat Shurmur and general manager Tom Heckart. Browns owner Jimmy Haslem III and CEO Joe Banner will reportedly fire them, or they may part ways. This change has been expected since Haslem became owner and Mike Holmgren left the franchise earlier this season.
Pat Shurmur has been 9-22 since taking over the Cleveland Browns in 2011. The team has actually improved over last year. The Browns were 4-12 last year, and they currently stand at 5-10. Jimmy Haslem may just want to hire his own guy and move forward that way.
The Cleveland Browns face the Pittsburgh Steelers tomorrow afternoon in the 2012 season finale.
