This is a season we will all never forget. Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson rushed for 199 yards and one touchdown in Sunday’s win vs. the Green Bay Packers. He became the 7h player in NFL history to eclipse the magical number of 2,000 rushing yards. he finished the 2012 season with 2,097 yards, leaving him only nine yards way from beating Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing yards record. Peterson needed 208 yards when the day began to break Dickerson’s record of 2,105 yards set in 1984. AP’s rushing yards season is now the 2nd in the NFL history.
“Ultimately we got the ‘W’. We said during the week, if it happens, it happens. Don’t focus on it.”
Now the MVP discussion begins. Has Adrian Peterson done enough to win the MVP award?
