AFC West has one team representing them in the playoffs

The AFC West is known as one of the weakest divisions in the NFL, but this year they have a team representing them in the 2012 NFL Playoffs and with the addition of one of the best QBs in Peyton Manning, the Denver Broncos are set to make some serious damage in the post season.Eric Decker and crew

There’s still some playoff scenarios that can happen after Week 17, here’s the options for the Broncos.

Denver can clinch a first-round bye with:

1) Broncos win or tie OR

2) New England Patriots loss or tie

Denver can clinch home-field advantage with:

1) Borncos win + Houton Texans loss or tie OR

2) Broncos tie + Houston Texans loss

If Denver can get home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, LOOK OUT! They can have the Super Bowl in the sights.

Note:  San Diego Chargers QB Philip Rivers final three years of his contract (where he is due $41.55 million) is not guaranteed; releasing him would clear up approximately $12 million and $10.8 million in cap space in 2013.
