Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin has been ruled out for tomorrow’s game against the rival Green Bay Packers because of his sprained right ankle. Harvin wasn’t expected to start, but it’s still not good news for the Vikings. This is going to be Harvin’s third missed game in a row. The Vikings are currently 1-1 without him.
Meanwhile, Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger is going to be out for Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. That leaves QB Charlie Batch to start in his place for the second straight week. Two weeks ago, Byron Leftwich started in place for Roethlisberger against the Ravens, but he suffered an injury of his own that left Batch as the starter. Batch was terrible last week, throwing 0 TDs and 3 INTs as the Steelers committed 8 turnovers in a loss to the Cleveland Browns. The Steelers hope that Batch can play better to help their playoff aspirations.
