Oakland has suspended linebacker Rolando McClain for two games for conduct detrimental to the team. CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora reported Wednesday that, according to team sources, McClain got into a heated discussion with Allen early in practice and was sent home. It was also reported that Allen told McClain not to return to the practice facility the following day also.
McClain sparked speculation Wednesday that he would be waived when he wrote on his Facebook page that he was, “Officially no longer an Oakland Raider. Well, technically I am. But I’m mentally done. Just waiting on my papers.”
McClain also posted messages on his Twitter accounts Wednesday afternoon alluded to the end of his career in Oakland. McClain wrote that he was looking forward to playing with an “actual team.” The posts have since been deleted.
