Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick and RB LeSean McCoy have been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Carolina Panthers. Both are suffering from a concussion. Vick has been dealing with the concussion since Week 10, while McCoy’s concussion was suffered in Week 11. Michael Vick is reportedly getting better, but McCoy still has a long way to go. Eagles trainer Rick Burkholder said today that Vick is in Phase 3 of the NFL’s five stage protocol. He also said Vick should be at Phase 4 by Sunday. However, McCoy is still in Phase 1. McCoy is having headaches, is very fatigued, and is having trouble sleeping. This leads us to assume that it may be a while before McCoy plays.
Rookie QB Nick Foles will continue to start for the Eagles. He struggled last week against the Redskins throwing no TDs and 2 INTs. Meanwhile, rookie Bryce Brown will start at RB. Last week, he had 5 carries for 35 yards.
