Report: Colin Kaepernick To Start Vs Saints; Alex Smith Benched

After putting a stellar performance on Monday Night against one of the best defenses in the NFL in the Bears, the second year QB reportedly has the nod again to start against a highly explosive offensive team in the Saints that have one of the worst defenses in the NFL this season. This may come as a surprise since Kaepernick only had one start in his NFL career, and it just so happens to beat out a starting QB who was a few plays away from making the Super Bowl a season ago. However 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh has hinted in the past he does not want to not have Alex Smith be the starter. Thus him hinting about wanting to get Peyton Manning during the off season. We should see if this risky move for the 49ers turns out good or bad.

  1. I knew that Kaepernick was going to start after that performance he put on the Bears. People better realize that after the “Brady Takeover” in New England, there’s no such thing as “you can’t lose your starting job because of injury”; tough luck for Alex Smith.
