On Friday, one of the Kansas City Chiefs top playmakers, wide receiver Dwayne Bowe, signs his franchise tender which is worth $9.5 million. Since he held out and missed three weeks of training camp, he is not expected to play this weekend’s preseason game against the St. Louis Rams.
Since being a first-round draft pick out of LSU in 2007, Bowe has 356 receptions for 4,927 yards and 36 TDs. This move will help the new offensive coordinator Brian Daboll spread the field out even more with the receiving options of Bowe, first round draft pick Jonathan Baldwin and veteran Steve Breaston. Things are looking up in Kansas City.
