When breaking down the Green Bay Packers’ weak points in the 2011 season, everyone will blurt out one word, “Defense.” Desmond Bishop on the other hand was the exception to Green Bay’s horrid 2011 defense. He was the most consistent player on their entire defense staff and brought everything he had play in and play out.
Unfortunately for the Packers, Bishop suffered a severe hamstring injury in yesterday’s preseason loss to the San Diego Chargers. Early reports stated that Bishop suffered both a knee and hamstring injury but Bishop’s knee checked out fine. Packers’ Head Coach Mike McCarthy addressed reporters after last night’s game and said Bishop’s injury “didn’t look very good.”
After receiving testing on his left leg Friday morning, early reports suggest Bishop will miss most, if not all of the 2012 season with a severe hamstring injury.
