The Cleveland Browns made it official today and named Brandon Weeden as the starting QB for the 2012 season, leaving Colt McCoy and Seneca Wallace to battle for the No. 2 job. Weeden, the 22nd pick in this year’s draft, becomes the 11th opening day starter for the Browns since 1999. Naming an 11th opening day starter seemingly is not the cure for the QB carousel. One would like to think that the team would have at least given McCoy a chance to show what he could do while Weeden sat and learned but with Weeden being in his late 20’s the Browns aren’t wasting any time.
