Giants Receiver Hakeem Nicks Breaks Foot, Out For 3 Months

The defending Super Bowl champions, the New York Giants, have suffered an early blow for the upcoming season with wide receiver Hakeem Nicks fracturing a bone in his right foot. He will require surgery, but is confident of being back to 100%, just in time for the season opener against Dallas. This gives second-round pick Rueben Randle a chance to step up and prove he’s worthy of a starting role. The receiver out of LSU was drafted to replace Mario Manningham after he signed with the 49ers in the off-season.
