Minnesota Senate Approves Vikings’ Stadium Bill

One day after the House passed the bill along to the Senate, the Senate voted 38-20 in favor of the Vikings’ new stadium bill. A last round of negotiations will ensue before the bill will be passed onto Governor Mark Dayton who will have final say if the Vikings will stay in Minnesota. The Senate slightly modified the bill; even though the amount of $975 million remains, the Senate bumped down the $105 million dollars the Vikings were unpleased about. Other controversy surrounding the bill would have tax payers paying for a portion of the stadium as well. All in all, barring some negotiations, we should see the bill move onto the Governor with a decision coming later this week.
