Raiders safety Branch will sign tender; sign free agent Miller

New GM Reggie McKenzie is making moves with what he got in Oakland.  Limited in the 2012 NFL Draft, McKenzie is finding other ways to upgrade the Raiders’ roster.

Raiders’ safety Tyvon Branch signed his franchise tender on Monday and reported to offseason workouts; the Raiders placed the tag on Branch on March 1.  Branch is still looking for a long-term deal, but word has it that he and the organization might have a verbal agreement and will address the contract later.  Branch will make $6.2M in the 2012 season.

The Raiders also signed free agent center Colin Miller to a contract on Tuesday.  Miller was with the Pittsburgh Steelers last season as an undrafted free agent out of Central Michigan and was cut at the end of training camp.
