After drafting Kicker Blair Walsh in the sixth round of April’s Draft, the Vikings have decided to cut veteran Kicker Ryan Longwell. Longwell is a 15 year veteran who played 9 seasons with the Green Bay Packers and 6 seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. His career accuracy is a respectable 83.2% and Longwell accounted for 1,687 career points in the NFL. Although he’s already had a long career in the league, Longwell could still be a durable kicker for a team who still needs a kicker.
