In 2011, Ryan McBean had a career season, leading the defensive line with four sacks; he was also suspended 6 games by the league for violating the substance abuse policy (along with teammate D.J. Williams). Both McBean and Williams filed federal lawsuits claiming their samples were tampered with by the collector before the results were revealed.
The fact that McBean was also arrested last year on a stalking charge didn’t help any; with the allegations and the Broncos re-signing Justin Bannan last week made it possible for Ryan McBean to get pushed out the door.
It happened, CBS4 sportscaster Vic Lombardi confirmed Monday morning that the Denver Broncos have released McBean.
