The NFC East has been relatively quiet in recent days, but there have been a few notable players signing with NFC East teams. Here are the highlights of this past week with each NFC East team.
The Cowboys have made no signings in recent days, but 2 former players signed elsewhere. Bradie James signed with the Texans, and Terrence Newman signed with the Bengals. The Cowboys reportedly showed interest in CB Marcus Trufant as a way to add experience and depth to their secondary, but he re-signed with the Seahawks on a 1-year deal.
In free agency, the Eagles signed DT Derek Landri to a 1-year deal. Other than that the Eagles have not done anything this past week.
New York Giants
Recently, the Giants released WR Brandon Stokley and re-signed linebacker Chase Blackburn after he helped the team greatly, coming out of nowhere after week 12. They also agreed to a deal with ex-Patriot CB Antwaun Molden.
The Redskins have been the most active out of all the NFC East teams all of-season, and it has seemed to continue. They re-signed linebacker and defensive leader London Fletcher to a 2-year deal, which will likely be the end of his career as he is aging rapidly. They signed ex-Buccaneers CB Tanard Jackson to a deal. In other news, the Redskins signed Safety Madieu Williams and Defensive End Kedric Golston to deals.
