Gregg Williams told Saints to injure 49ers

Ex-Saints Defensive Coordinator Gregg Williams defied the league one last time in a pre game pep talk. He instructed his players to target QB Alex Smith, RB Frank Gore, WR Michael Crabtree, and TE Vernon Davis in last seasons NFC Divisonal Playoff game.

At one point Williams says, ‘We hit [expletive] Smith right there’ – then he points under his chin [and continues] – ‘remember me.’ Then he rubs his thumb against his index and middle fingers – the cash sign – and says, ‘I got the first one. I got the first one. Go get it. Go lay that [expletive] out.’

He continues and says, ‘We have to do everything in the world to kill Frank Gore’s head. We want him running sideways. We want his head sideways. Little 32, we want to knock the [expletive] out of him.’ During the 12-minute speech, Williams referenced Gore, telling players, ‘Kill the head, the body will die.’

Williams left the team and joined the Rams following the loss in San Francisco. He chose not to appeal his indefinite suspension.

  1. Wow, things are not looking good for Gregg Williams; got in the car to go to lunch and they played the audio on ESPN1000. Seems like he derves the indefinite suspension. I hope nothing more comes of Sean Payton and what he knows or did.
