Romeo Crennel fired by the Chiefs; Pioli’s job in question?

Just like many other coaches today Romeo Crennel was as well fired. Crennel last season replaced Todd Haley and afterwards his Chiefs upset the undefeated Greenbay Packers. The Chiefs felt like they found there guy and Crennel was also looking towards redeeming himself for poor seasons in Cleveland. Sadly that was not the case as the Chiefs had the worst record in the NFL and ended up with the first overall pick.

The Chiefs woes do not end there as there GM Scott Pioli will not be apart of the search when it comes to finding the new head coach. Pioli’s reign as the Chiefs General Manager has not been that successful. One of the first moves he did was fire Herm Edwards. It felt like that was the right move and went and moved on forward to hiring Todd Haley.

Pioli then went on to get QB Matt Cassel who was on his way out from New England and as well traded Tight End Tony Gonzalez to the Atlanta falcons. since he has been GM the Chiefs have only appeared in the playoffs once. Cassel didn’t turn out so good for the Chiefs now the Chiefs as chairman Clark Hunt said “Are looking for the best option to make them better”. One can wonder will the Chiefs find that guy?
